Legend Castle

Story

The main protagonist, Sai Kazui, lost his childhood playmate due to a tragic car accident. Due to a pact they once made, “If you consecutively visit this shrine on your birthday for ten years, the gods will grant you three wishes!” This year, Sai finally completed the promises, making a wish with a heart full of uncertainty: ‘Hoping to reunite with the long-lost childhood friend once again.’ Yet, as he departed from the shrine, nothing out of the ordinary occurred.

After returning home, Sai receives a mysterious delivery—a big colossal egg. However, a suspicious deliveryman claims it was a mistake and tries to forcefully take it back. With no other options, the protagonist decides to believe in this miracle and opens the peculiar giant egg. In the moment the egg cracks open, an infant girl holding a sacred stone pops out, swiftly transforming into a girl dressed in shrine maiden outfit. Witnessing her striking resemblance to his departed childhood friend [Kannagi Kanzen], he is utterly shocked and screams, ‘My birthday gift is really my long-lost childhood friend?!’

Soon then, he discovered that she crossed over to this place to save the parallel world. However, in this unfamiliar timeline, she expends a considerable amount of “Shinchi” (some form of spirit energy) just by existing, hence opting to move around in this world in the form of an infant girl daily. With the dawn of a new year, the protagonist embarks on a world-saving journey alongside his long-lost childhood friend who is currently in the form of an infant.
